The Jeffrey's Bay Specialist Eye Centre offers advanced eye care and exceptional surgical results, combined with a commitment to finding affordable options for patients.
The Jeffreys Bay Specialist Eye Centre offers advanced cataract screening and surgical vision correction , glaucoma management, diabetic eye care, LASIK (Laser Vision Correction,) corneal crosslinking as well as all fields of general ophthalmology.
The centre is also a national hub for specialists and all providers within the Eye Care community to engage.
WHAT IS THE JEFFREYS BAY SPECIALIST EYE CENTRE?
The Centre was founded by Dr Juan Deseta, an Ophthalmologist who has operated on thousands of patients for well over a decade and is also in private practice at the Port Elizabeth Eye and Laser Institute.

"It's been a longtime dream of mine to create a centre of excellence where specialists from around the country can regularly convene, collaborate, discuss complex cases, learn from one another and offer all of our patients the benefit of pooled knowledge.
My goal is therefore to unite everyone working towards improving patients' Ophthalmic outcomes. This includes Ophthalmologists, Optometrists , General Practitioners, Registrars, Pharmacists and colleagues from every Eye Care centre across the country." - Dr Juan Deseta

opportunities to engage, the focus is
on breaking down professional boundaries, encouraging interaction and engagement.

Regular engagement with specialists, students, optometrists and guest speakers invited from
across the country. The Round Table sessions are informal and engaging, giving young doctors a
unique opportunity to connect with experienced specialists and for specialists to pool knowledge.
